Traitors’ star SPLITS from her boyfriend after three-year romance 

The Traitors’ star Mollie Pearce has split from her boyfriend after a three-year romance, MailOnline can reveal.

Mollie, 22, rose to fame on the hit BBC One show in January after she lost out on the £95,150 cash prize to Traitor Harry Clark over her belief he was a faithful.

Viewers were convinced Mollie developed feelings for Harry, but she had always been in a relationship with long-term boyfriend Max Backwell, who she met through her older brother, Sam.

After loving each other for over three years, the couple recently decided to break up, but Mollie has confirmed they remain good friends.

The disability model, who was born with missing digits on her right hand, is about to embark on a new challenge after being cast in the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice, which she has described as a dream come true.

Mollie told MailOnline: ‘After a number of happy years together Max and I have decided to part ways. It was amicable and we’re both still friends.’

A source added: ‘Mollie and Max loved their time together but they’re both young and the relationship they shared reached a natural end.

‘They both support each other in everything they do and Max is really excited to watch Mollie on Dancing On Ice given he knows how much the opportunity means to her.’

Mollie has spoken about the difficulties she has overcome in her life after being fitted with a stoma bag aged 18.

The reality star suffered with ulcerative colitis, which affects the colon, from a young age and her health deteriorated, leaving her unable to lead a normal life.

She had surgery to remove her colon and now has a stoma bag, which she will have for the rest of her life.

Since starring on The Traitors, Mollie has campaigned to raise awareness and break down the stigma around stoma bags, even sharing her travel routine when on a long-haul flight with her TikTok followers.

In February, she said: ‘We look at it as something disgusting, you have this negative opinion, I did anyway. I want to change that. I want to make people realise that it can have such a positive effect. It’s not a last resort or the worst thing in the world. I call mine Sid. She said: ‘He doesn’t care about my stoma at all. He would stick a bag on his stomach on the beach if it made me feel better. I don’t think he even sees it at all.

‘For him to go from not knowing anything about what one was to just accept a partner with one, I think he’s an amazing human.’

On Monday, Mollie confirmed she is starring in the upcoming season of Dancing On Ice alongside former TOWIE star Ferne McCann and ex-EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks. 

Speaking on Instagram, she said: ‘Honestly, I still just can’t get my head around the fact that I’m going on Dancing On Ice. I have watched it since I was a little girl so it’s a full circle moment for me.’
