Definitions
- “Platform” refers to the Get Me On Vinyl website and services.
- “Backer” refers to an individual who contributes funds to a campaign.
- “Artist” refers to an individual or group initiating a crowdfunding campaign to press vinyl records.
- “Campaign” refers to the crowdfunding project initiated by the artist.
General Conditions
- Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to all the terms, you may not access the Platform or use any services.
- Eligibility To use this Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract.
- Modification of Terms We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
For Backers
- Backing a Campaign When you back a campaign, you agree to provide the funds pledged if the campaign reaches its funding goal. If the campaign is not successful you will receive a refund of the total pledged amount.
- Refunds and Cancellations Once a campaign has been successfully funded, refunds are not guaranteed. Any issues regarding refunds must be addressed directly with the artist.
- Communication and Updates Backers are entitled to receive updates from the artist regarding the campaign progress. Artists are encouraged to keep backers informed regularly.
For Artists
- Creating a Campaign By creating a campaign, you agree to deliver the rewards promised to backers if the campaign is successfully funded. This includes distributing the vinyl records as described in your campaign.
- Campaign Accuracy You must provide accurate and truthful information about your campaign. Misleading or fraudulent campaigns are strictly prohibited and will result in termination and potential legal action.
- Use of Funds Funds raised will be used solely to cover vinyl production costs. Get Me On Vinyl will pay all parties involved on your behalf.
- Intellectual Property You retain ownership of the content you create. However, by posting your campaign on the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use, display, and share your content for promotional purposes.
Dispute Resolution
- Between Backers and Artists Get Me On Vinyl is not responsible for resolving disputes between backers and artists. We encourage parties to resolve issues amicably. In case of unresolved disputes, we may intervene at our discretion.
- Governing Law These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
